Cranleigh15/21 - 31st March 2019
A Pre-London Marathon Training Event under race conditions. Further detail, including directions, can be found on the Cranleigh page
on this website.
The event goes the extra mile towards your ultimate goal, no frills but a medal for all.

Please note: It is only possible to enter the event through SiEntries this year to simplify Registration.
There will be no paper entry forms. Please enter early to avoid disappointment since there will be no late entries as we will be using a chip timing system.
Important - Windsor Park arrangements - 13th January.
Course alteration - whilst the road works across Smiths Lawn are incomplete the event can go ahead with a minor deviation from the original
(now non-existant) section of road across Smiths Lawn.
The overall route will essentially remain unchanged, albeit slightly longer,
and we will use Breakheart Hill and the main 4 mile loop passing the Copper Horse as usual.
We plan to be able to direct the runners on the new section of road which is due for completion next week.
We have a contingency of using the horse ride running parallel with the new road
(which remains closed to horse riders until the road has been opened) for about 800m each way.
The horse ride is currently firm compacted sand as it has had vehicle traffic but can be expected to be 'mucky' if we get wet weather.
Road shoes should be suitable anyway but can you please advise your faster members in case they were intending to use racing shoes.
Car parking - The car park at Virginia Water South (Sat Nav code: SL5 7SB) may not be large enough if everyone drives
and the fee is £5 for 1-2 hours and £7.50 for 2-3 hours (see: http://www.windsorgreatpark.co.uk/en/visit/parking)
There is no on-street parking in the vicinity. Please encourage car sharing and alternative means of transport.
Help required - Finally, with MAGIC being such a small group, Ken would welcome a few more volunteers to help at the finish.

Provisional results are usually published within 24 hours of an event; these are then verified or updated with any alterations after 1 week.
It is up to every runner to check on the accuracy of the published results within that 1st week and report any discrepancies to the Results Secretary.
Do not expect any changes to be accepted once the final results have been published.
The MABAC AGM took place in the Bandroom, Cranleigh, after the race.
Ken Saunders, Secretary, John Hogg, Chairman, Ollie Garrod, Treasurer and Jenny Bell, Results Secretary were all re-elected.

The date for march is fixed, but not yet the venue.
Windsor: New numbers will be issued at the start, to be used for 2019. Please return your number after each race, or make sure you bring it with you to every event.
There is a charge for the carpark, please try to have a full car, and have change.
